NAT
Nat is an Italian multidisciplinary designer, who in 2018 graduated from IED Rome with a major in Interior Design and a minor in Exhibition Design.
She was born and raised in San Giovanni Rotondo, a town in Apulia shaped by tradition and religion, where church bells mark the passage of time. Since a young age, she has been interested in the relation between sound and body as well as crafting objects that can have a life of their own and an interaction with the people around them.
Nat seeks inspiration in the shapes of nature and is fascinated by the Mother Goddess of Sardinia, a deity that was born from herself. Natalia also believes in the energy of rocks and people. As a kid, she dreamed of becoming a ballerina and went on to study ballet for ten years. Now, she draws upon that knowledge and experience to create live art performances. All her creations begin with a story – either a new one or one that must not be forgotten, just like Nat’s latest creation: Selene. A contemplative sculpture that was inspired by the sacred well of Saint Christine in Sardinia. Selene was selected to be part of the 5th edition of Materia Independent Design Festival. If Nat had to choose one word to describe herself, it would be sensitive.
